| TYSC Hawks Capture Bronze Medal at the State Games |

GREENSBORO - The TYSC Hawks U11 Girls returned from Greensboro after capturing the Bronze Medal at the NC State Games. Even though the Hawks played up in the U12 Rec division, they held their own and played to a draw in the first two games of the tournament. The Hawks tied the Glamour Girls 1-1 and the Fury 0-0.
On Sunday, the Hawks lost a heart breaker to the Danger by a score of 4-3 that kept them out of Gold Medal contention. In the Bronze Metal game the Hawks faced the ____
outplayed them by scoring two goals early and then sealed the
victory late in the game with a brilliantly placed penalty kick that found
the lower left corner of the net. When the final whistle blew with the score
3-1, the Hawks stormed the field to celebrate the well deserved victory.
Hawk Coach Eric Dillman said “they kept a positive attitude throughout the tournament. Every member of the team was a big part of the successful weekend.”
