The Nature of Art sponsors a Tennis Shoe Art Contest

Announcing a creative contest for Holly Springs elementary and middle school youth!  Think outside the box by creating one funky tennis shoe --new or used-- using paint, gluing on fabric, and/or attaching things like wings, etc.  A prize will be given to the student with the most creative shoe, plus 2nd and 3rd place prize winners. 

Entries will be hung at The Nature of Art.  Bring your entry to the store by Saturday, May 30 between 10:00 and 6:00. 

Judging and announcement of winners will be Saturday, June 6 at 12:00.  Artist Tish McDermott, who has funky tennis shoes herself, is judging the contest.
 
Prizes will be:  1st - pizza party for 4 at Rudinos at Sunset Lake Commons
                      2nd - 6 inch grinder at Rudinos
                      3rd - garlic cheese bread at Rudinos

No smelly shoes, please!!   An inexpensive way for everyone to have fun.

The Nature of Art also offers a new Childrens Art Camp for 9 to 12 year olds on Wed, Thurs and Friday June 24 - 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  The cost is $130 for all three days, including snacks, drinks & supplies for projects.

There are also Acrylic Painting classes for Children, ages 9 to 12 on Tuesdays, June 2, 16 and 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00.  The cost is $30 plus $5 supplies (for paint and palettes), per class.  Take one class or all three!
